A CHARITABLE ORGNIZATION
The Cow Neck Peninsula Historical Society is recognized as a 501c(3) organization by the Internal Revenue Service, which means that any contribution you make to the Society (including stock transfers) may be claimed as a deduction on your income tax return if you itemize. CONFLICT OF INTEREST POLICY
Members of the Board of Trustees of the Cow Neck Peninsula Historical Society should not personally benefit financially as a result of their Board service except for reasonable compensation for services rendered and/or reimbursement for expenses incurred in carrying out Society business.

If the Board considers a proposal that involves a financial relationship between the organization and a Board Member, the Board Member cannot vote on the matter.

Trustees shall not engage in any outside activity or employment which involves the direct or indirect use of information obtained as a trustee or volunteer of the Cow Neck Peninsula Historical Society which will provide financial gain to the trustee or volunteer or his/her immediate family with out the express consent of the Board. Trustees and volunteers shall not engage in outside employment, that involves the direct or indirect use of information obtained as a Cow Neck Peninsula History Society trustee or volunteer.

This conflict of Interest policy also applies to a Board Member’s immediate family.

 

WEBSITE PRIVACY POLICY
The Cow Neck Peninsula Historical Society respects the privacy of its visitors and does not collect personal information. We do not track our visitors in any way other than counting them and do not link to any other databases that collect user data.
