Join Society Trustee and Town of North Hempstead Historian Ross Lumpkin for an informative stroll around the Mill Pond, easily one of the oldest areas of Port Washington, once known as Cow Neck.

This free walking tour requires no reservations, so please meet at the back of the pond, near the Mill Pond Model Yacht Club building.

Learn how a tidal mill actually works, about Cow Neck's first store, about the Dodge Inlet, about the first few hotels, our first school, our first church, and more!
