Antique Car Show and Classic Hill Climb

Schedule of the Day's Events:
Roadster Hill Climb: 9:30 AM - Noon
A popular event during the 1920s, 30s, and 40s coming to Port Washington this June! Classic roadsters, pre-1940, assemble at Hempstead Harbor Beach Park, 175 W. Shore Rd. One at a time the cars race up the hill and get timed while the public watches and cheers from sidewalks lining the route. The cars return to the Park for another climb. Each car gets 3 runs up the hill. Unique trophies and prizes will be awarded to the winners in multiple categories. REQUIREMENTS BELOW!
Classic Car Show: Noon - 4 PM
Sands-Willets House, 336 Port Washington Blvd
See classic cars up close & meet their owners. Over 40 cars on display. Docent-led tours of Sands-Willets House, live music, hot dogs, popcorn. Free admission to general public.

All entries for the Hill Climb must be approved by Jon Ruvio, President, Vintage Flathead Timing Association.

CAR REQUIREMENTS FOR THE HILL CLIMB:

No Engine Displacement over 250 C.I (Unless otherwise specified)

Model A 4 cylinder preferred

Car body MUST be 1940 or older

Stock bodied cars with fenders will be accepted

No OHV conversions
-
No modern running gear (Transmissions or rear axles must be pre-1953)

Mechanical brakes are accepted, hydraulic is preferred

Remember this is a historical reenactment. The parts and overall appearance of your car must be period correct. (No mag wheels, or modern style parts). Period clothing and style are appreciated and will help achieve the look we are going for.
