marcherThe fair grounds will again be a Paradise for kids and grown-ups, too. For children, there’ll be the petting zoo with the baby animals they love to feed, pony rides, games, face painting, a fire truck they can climb aboard, popcorn, cotton candy, hot dogs and lots more.

The Sampawams Creek boys will entertain, and the Civil War re-enactors will encamp with fife and drum. There will also be art, antiques, crafts, jewelry, a harvest booth, rug-hookers, stamps, tools, tractors, bargain- basement treasures, hot dogs and a tasty hot lunch.

Also on display will be the Society's delightful postcards and old photos of Port Washington the way it was, in the early 1900s (as recently shown at the PW Public Library).

When: Sunday, September 11,
10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Where: The Sands Willets grounds, 336 Port Washington Blvd., (2 blocks past Uncle Guiseppe's heading out of town)
Why: Lots of fun, mixed with history!
